KnockOUT HD Self-Weeding Laser Transfer Paper
KnockOUT HD Self-Weeding Laser Transfer Paper
KnockOUT HD Self-Weeding Laser Transfer Paper has 25% more polymer than AWESOME KnockOUT Self-Weeding Transfer Paper. Other than the thickness, KnockOUT HD is identical to AWESOME KnockOUT – identical coating except for thickness, same carrier paper, same heat pressing instructions and recommended printers – copiers.
25% more polymer approximately equates to 25% more washes. And, as an added bonus, transferred colors have a bit more ‘life’ to them.
And, both papers are priced identical!
So why would one consider buying AWESOME KnockOUT over KnockOUT HD?
The Answer: 25% more polymer also means there is a higher propensity to jam in your printer fuser. That does not mean KnockOUT HD will jam in your printer – copier, it simply means there is a higher chance of jamming.
You can also reduce / eliminate the probability of jams by first testing the paper in your printing device. Jamming is a function of heat and heat is controlled in laser printers – copiers via paper settings. The thinner the paper setting, the lower the fuser temperature. And, a lower fuser temperature translates immediately to lower chance of jamming.
We recommend testing initially with Plain Paper (or equivalent). If you experience loose toner (called ‘toner offset’), then you require the next thicker setting.
With Oki printers, Labels 2 and Labels 1 are logical paper setting choices.
